We are a 2nd Generation family owned small business located in Flushing Queens. 

Our company was established in 1983 by Peter Song an architect by trade in his home country of South Korea.  His wife Mary came to the states first working as a nurse in Rikers Island.  When he arrived he began as a draftsman but found his salary lacking to provide for his young family.  He decided to become a street peddler selling wigs on the streets of Brownsville on Pitkin Ave.  Eventually he saved up to have a storefront on Pitkin Ave. where eventually got into the footwear business selling popular jelly shoes at the time in the 1980's.  That store became a staple in the neighborhood known as "Upstairs Downstairs"

He found styles & sizes lacking from vendors for his customers & eventually began importing his own designs and sold his styles to stores all around the country and internationally as well under the brand name of Wonderful & Beckia New York(named after his daughter Becky)

The business moved into a larger warehouse in 2006 and that is where Shoe Village began in Flushing, Queens.
